It has been a long time since we imported our first device installed on the back of a truck from the United States, when we saw the need of our country. Currently serving with 46 devices in total, in Turkey's most important cities and hospitals is a real success story for us.

With this method, by a carefully managed magnetic field, the image of any surface of the body placed is obtained. The method uses the distribution of the density of the hydrogen nucleus in the cellular fluid and lipids and the parameters related to the movements of the nucleus; to obtain the image. It is a method that mainly examines soft tissues. It has the advantage that the contrast between different tissues can be increased by changing the application method of the RF pulse in order to show the lesions better. It is the radiological diagnosis method with the highest soft tissue contrast analysis power. MRI is considered a main diagnosis method. It is also increasingly being used in the investigation of other organ system diseases.

MRI is formed mainly by differences in signal strength from the tissue. MRI is the main method to examine the central nervous system; due to its strength on high soft tissue contrast resolution, the ability to take images in all three surfaces, the absence of bone artifacts, the ability to visualize vessels without contrast, the absence of ionized radiation, and the fact that its contract agents are safe compared to ionized contract agents. MRI is considered to be the main method for evaluating the musculoskeletal system, joints and especially in sports medicine, bone marrow evaluation and soft tissue tumors. In the examination of the chest and abdomen, MRI is used as the supporting examination position. Structural defects in the vessels can also be evaluated with MR Angiography examination. Moreover, benign, and malignant lesions of the brain and prostate can be distinguished by the MR Spectroscopy method.

During the examination, the patient lies on the table of the computed tomography device motionless. The table is then inserted into the opening of the device called "gantry" either manually or by a remote control.

The device is connected to a computer. While the x-ray source performs a 360-degree rotation around the patient being examined, the data obtained by the x-ray beam passing through the body by detectors arranged along the opening or "gantry" is processed by the computer. As a result, cross-sectional images of the tissues are created one after another. The created images can be viewed on the computer screen. In addition, images can be transferred to an x-ray film or stored on an optical disk to be viewed back on the computer screen when necessary.

Computed tomography has some advantages compared to other x-ray examinations.It shows the shape and location of especially organs, soft tissues and bones very vividly. In addition, CT examinations help doctors in the differential diagnosis of a simple cyst (encircled sac with liquid or semi-liquid fluid inside) and solid tumor (tissue mass caused by the rapid proliferation of some cells), allowing better evaluation of diseases. More importantly, CT helps in evaluating the spread of cancer by creating more detailed images than direct radiographs.

The information to be obtained about the spread of cancer guides doctors about the treatment to be applied for cancer and helps them to decide whether to use chemotherapy, radiotherapy, surgical treatment, or a certain combination of these options. Thus, safe and intact tissues are protected from unnecessary interventions of treatment methods that may have serious side effects, although they have many benefits.

CT has made it possible to evaluate many parts of the body, such as the brain, that cannot be seen on direct radiographs. It also enabled the diagnosis of many diseases earlier and more accurately than other imaging methods. With these superior features, CT has helped doctors save many lives, as diseases are treated better when diagnosed early.

X-Rays are basically created by increasing the alternating city electrical current to make it a straight-line current and the change of the energies of the electrons as they are striking against the anode when the current is transferred inside a glass tube. X-Rays are straight-line rays.

These are directed and are allowed to pass through the tissues. Abscess in tissues varies according to the type and thickness of the tissues. Remaining rays fall on an image plate if they are digital X-Rays. If conventional graphs, they fall on a film and the medical image is created. Originally used for medical purposes, X-Rays are now used in various industry and especially security. X-Rays are rays that contribute to the diagnosis of patients without entering into the patient's tissues, touching, or disturbing the patient.

Basically, after the X-Rays have passed through the lug, if they fall on an X-Ray film, this is called a conventional X-Ray. If they fall on an image plate, digitalization is in available.

The same image is displayed on the screen with the help of a computer. Conventional X-Ray has a section called a radiograph. Film is used in radiographs. There is also a part called fluoroscopy or radioscopy. In the part called fluoroscopy and radioscopy, after the patient receives the beam, the rays hit a fluorine plate and create a glare.

Today, with the development of some devices that increase image quality and the advancement of television technology, these images can be recorded. For example, angiographs. In angiographs, the radiopaque material is administered into the vein and the flow of this material through the veins can be vividly watched.

The clips and images recorded in this way can be stored to be viewed later. Examples of conventional direct radiographs are chest radiographs or skeletal radiographs. Radioscopies are generally used for examination of moving organs; whereas radiographs are used for the examinations of more stable organs.
